We are very exited to launch the worlds very first app for waacking! One place where we all can connect, share and find both inspiration, friends, events and knowledge. In this app you as a dancer can easily find the local waacking community and classes if you are traveling to another country by clicking on the country in our main page. You can also talk, organize and connect with people in our groups and forums. One group for The whole world, some groups for continents and many groups for each country.
Organizers can promote for events for free and even sell tickets through this waacking app and out website waacknation.com. All teachers will be listed in each country's own site and they are welcome to share class info to their students in our country based forums. The app also provide articles to inspire and help waackers. From deep history research and body/health exercises explicit for waackers to teachers tips or guides to help you grow you career as a professional dancer. Each month we share motivation through a monthly challenge.
The main goal for this app is:
Prevent a niche style from dying, by building a stronger community and inspiring new dancers. In most countries the style still is struggling to ground itself and the style is not even spread across all nations.
Collecting knowledge and history. For many years street dance styles was not respected as much as the academical dance styles, such as ballet, jazz and contemporary. One of the main reasons was lack of written history and knowledge. We are making sure everything is written and clear about Waacking, to prevent it from suffering as much as styles like Hip Hop. For new dancers, we also want to give them the right info about the style, so that waacking dont lose its routs in the upcoming digital years.
Helping us connect world wide. As we travel or stay in our own city, the possibility to talk and find each other more easily.
